What Information I Collect and Use

I ask for your names, so I know what to call you when I get in touch with you and when we see each other. And an email address so I can respond to your initial enquiry and keep in touch with you and to get all the information I'd need for the big day - so I can show up at the right place and right time. I will only use your email to email you about your wedding. It will not be shared and I don't send out newsletters so you won't be getting anything like that. I have a questionnaire which I send out a couple of months before your wedding day to get all the details from you for the big day. This is not shared with anyone other than my second shooter (and they will not be sharing it with anyone else either) and is saved on my password protected phone and laptop. I will ask for a telephone number just in case I need to call you on the big day and this will also be given to my second shooter should they need to get in touch with you on the day. I will also collect addresses so I know where I'm going on the big day and also where to send your wedding photographs.

How I Collect and Keep your Personal Data

I receive your initial enquiry and information through the contact form on my website or directly through email depending on how you have decided to get in touch with me. This is accessed through my phone or laptop, both of which are password protected with really hard to guess passwords. If you decide to book me as your wedding photographer, your contact and wedding details will be stored in client database software called Táve, which is also a GDPR compliant company, and can only be accessed through my phone or laptop and is again password protected. If you enquire but don’t book, your personal data will be deleted by me from my client database after the appropriate mourning period has ended. If you’ve booked a second shooter I will pass on the form which you’ve filled out with all the info on about your wedding day which includes your phone number so that they can get in touch with you if they need to.

Right to Access, Rectification and Erasure

If you wanted to find out what information I hold on you, you can get in touch and just ask and I'll be happy to send it over. It will only be information you have given me, but if you want me to amend or delete anything you’ll need to request this in writing so I know what it is you want.

How I Use Photos of You

Other than delivering these images to you, I do also share some of the images on Facebook, Instagram, Google and my website. You probably found me through one of these channels so you can appreciate how important it is for my business. I do ask your permission to share these in my contract but if you do want your wedding photos to be kept private for whatever reason, just let me know in advance and I will respect your wishes. By booking a wedding photographer for your day I assume that your guests are fine with me to take images of them but if any of your guests don’t want to be photographed and make me aware then I won’t take any photos of them.

Your photographs are backed up and stored on password encrypted hard drives, in my home which is always locked, and I also keep a copy with an online gallery provider that is GDPR compliant and the gallery is also password protected.

3rd Party Suppliers

I work with a few suppliers who provide prints and albums. Usually I get them to send everything to me first and then I send them out to you, but occasionally my suppliers will ship directly to you if you have ordered through your online gallery. I understand the suppliers I use are also GDPR compliant and will not be using your details for anything other than sending your products out to you.

GDPR Compliance

I try and keep up to date with the latest legislation and will continue to work towards being GDPR compliant if there are any further changes.
