Jess & Joe’s Engagement Session at Bracelet Bay, Swansea
Swansea Wedding Photographer
As one of the chosen winners of my engagement competition, I met up with Jessica and Joe along the Swansea coastline for their session earlier this year.
The weather was very different to the heatwave we’ve been having the past few weeks – hence the jackets! But the sun did make an appearance and we got some beautiful light before the clouds rolled back in.

“Our love story started with a swipe right! In August 2014 we matched on a Tinder, he was one of my first matches and the only person I ever ended up meeting from it. I was only in South Wales for a weekend before heading back to North Wales where I was living. Shortly after we matched I was moving to Denmark for a year and so told him I didn’t want to meet up. We spoke every day and our friendship grew. Eventually he convinced me to meet him while I was home for my birthday weekend in May! So finally after 10 months of talking we met in person. We instantly knew it was something special. However, this was only a few months before I was planning on moving 12000 miles away to New Zealand! I tried to put him off but he was determined we could make it work. And so after a few more months of working to persuade me we became official in October 2015. We continued our relationship over Skype for the next 10 months, only seeing each other for a week in Hawaii for Christmas (we went 8 long months without seeing each other!). When I returned to Wales in August 2016 we moved in together in Swansea and life was perfect. A year later on August 4th 2017 we went out for a date night, to the cinema to see Dunkirk and the food at the Castellammare in Mumbles. After food, Joe said he felt like a walk… Joe never wants to walk. It was cold, dark and starting to rain but we led me round the side of a cliff. While I stood there moaning asking if we could go back to the car he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!” – Jessica
